The General Muir



The General Muir is a tribute to the classic New York Jewish deli, returning it to its hand-crafted roots. Traditional favorites are honored – pastrami is cured and smoked in house, bagels are kettle boiled and hand rolled – and, especially at dinner when Chef Ginsberg’s menu changes often, joined by dishes going beyond the classics, focusing on fresh ingredients and simple preparations.

The General Muir has partnered with head baker, Rob Alexander, to establish TGM Bakery, which provides all of the bread for The General Muir, Fred’s Meat & Bread, Yalla, and West Egg Café. The bakery also sells bread at farmers’ markets around Atlanta and at the bakery itself during limited hours. It adds select wholesale accounts as capacity allows. The space is primarily for production, while the bakery design provides an engaging visual for Emory Point visitors.
