“Emory Point Announces Natural Food Grocer as Anchor Merchant for Phase II”
ATLANTA – May 27, 2014 – Emory Point has signed its anchor merchant for the development’s second phase. Earth Fare, a North Carolina-based organic and natural foods grocer whose mission is to connect communities and improve lives through food, will be the anchor tenant occupying 25,000 square feet. Emory Point’s new phase is scheduled to be complete by spring 2015.
Emory Point’s expansion includes 45,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space as well as 307 luxury apartment homes. Cousins and Gables Residential, development partners for Emory Point, are focused on expanding the dynamic mix of living, family-friendly shopping and dining options to meet the needs of the community. The immediate community includes Emory University students, residents and employees at the university, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and more.
Earth Fare, founded in 1975 in Asheville, North Carolina, has grown into one of the largest natural food markets in the country. Earth Fare’s strict ingredient philosophy, which includes only products that do not contain high fructose corn syrup, trans fats, artificial colors and sweeteners or synthetic growth hormones, has earned them a loyal following. Earth Fare has locations throughout the Southeast and Midwest, and is currently located in Athens and Augusta, Georgia.
